JAKARTA - Jember Resort Police officers are blocking the city area to the square to anticipate traffic congestion ahead of New Year's Eve in Jember Regency, East Java.

"We urge the public not to flock to the square to celebrate New Year's Eve, so that people can celebrate New Year's Eve in their respective homes," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

According to him, officers will conduct raids to anticipate New Year's Eve celebrations with negative activities such as drinking alcohol and drug parties, as well as convoys using Brong exhausts that can disrupt public order.
