ASDP Merak Departs Nearly 40 Thousand Passengers To Lampung During D+5 Christmas 2022

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Merak Main Branch, Banten, noted that it had crossed 39,589 passengers to Bakauheni Port, Lampung, on D+5 Christmas or 30 December 2022 period from 08.00 WIB to 31 December 2022 at 08.00 WIB.

"All passengers are served with 27 ships operated," said Public Relations of ASDP Merak Putu in Merak, Banten, quoted from Antara, Saturday, December 31. According to him, the number of 39,589 people rose 37 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 28,952 people.

Meanwhile, it was recorded that 9,661 vehicles had crossed from Java to Sumatra on D+5, an increase of 15 percent compared to the same period last year of 8,381 units.

The total number of passengers crossing from D-8 to D+5 was recorded at 559,304 people, an increase of 29 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year. Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles that had crossed was recorded at 125,293 units, an increase of 17 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 106,922 units. In contrast, data from the Bakauheni Command Post on D+5 recorded the number of ships operating as many as 27 ships. The realization of total passengers reached 26,416 people, an increase of 32 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 20,029 people.

The total number of vehicles recorded was 5,967 units that had crossed from Sumatra to Java on D+5, an increase of 2 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 5,839 units. Meanwhile, the total passengers crossing from Sumatra to Java ranging from D-8 to D+5 were recorded at 464,668 people, an increase of 42 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 327,629 people. For the total vehicles that had crossed, 107,138 units were recorded, an increase of 19 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 89,808 units.
