The East Jakarta Environmental Sub-Department (LH) deployed 500 cleaners and UPK of the Water Agency to clean up trash on New Year's Eve later. Hundreds of officers will be focused on crowd spots in the TMII area, East Jakarta, at around 01.00 WIB.

Head of the East Jakarta City Environment Sub-dept., Wahyudi Rudianto, said that as many as 500 officers, 300 people came from the UPK of the DKI LH Water Agency and 200 people from the East Jakarta LH Sub-dept.

This many personnel were alerted at TMII because of the anticipation of an increase in visitors on New Year's Eve. The reason is, in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic, the number of visitors reached 38 thousand at TMII.

"We are targeting that by 05.00 the TMII area will be clean again, both outside and inside," he told reporters, Friday, December 30.

Wahyudi further said that his party also deployed 14 large units of garbage trucks with a capacity of 10 cubic meters each. Placement will also be deployed in the TMII area.

In addition, there are an additional 10 units of garbage trucks that have been alerted in 10 sub-districts. If the 14 units are not sufficient, 10 additional units will be immediately directed into the TMII area.

"In addition, there are five sweeper cars to sweep the TMII area, both inside and outside TMII. Because if you only rely on human energy, it is feared that it will not be optimal and will be completed quickly," he said.

However, his party also prepared 1,000 sacks to collect the scattered garbage and 100 lidi sweeps used to sweep the cleaning staff at TMII.

In addition, his party also deployed six toilet cars to be deployed at three locations for fireworks at TMI. Namely Plaza Gajah Mada, Archipelago TMII Lake and Non-Aligned Summit Museum.

Meanwhile, VIP toilet cars for invited guests from among officials were placed on Archipelago TMII Lake. These six toilet cars are managed from the DKI LH Office.

Two units of clean water tanker trucks each with a capacity of 8,000 liters, were also prepared at TMII to fill water in portable toilets and toilets.

"The East Jakarta LH Sub-dept. also added five portable toilets for backup. The placement is as needed in the TMII area and is coordinated with the TMII manager," he said.
