JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to be committed to increasing convenience for low-income people (MBR) who want to have a decent home through the innovation of housing financing assistance programs with relevant stakeholders (stakeholders).

In 2023, the Ministry of PUPR will develop housing financing targeting several community groups, namely the informal MBR through a rent-to-own scheme combined with contractual saving housing, urban communities directed to vertical housing with a working shared ownership (SSO) scheme, and millennial generation through a KPR scheme with a longer period of time tailored to the housing carer.

"In 2023, we will focus on financing housing for informal MBR through saving plans with BP Tapera. So independent workers or their communities can get a house if they save for 3-6 months at Tapera," said Director General of Infrastructure Financing PU and Housing Herry Trisaputra Zuna after the Tapera Committee Working Meeting chaired by PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Wednesday (28/12/2022).

The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said Tapera membership from independent workers or non-wage earners is targeted to reach 30 thousand by 2023.

"Independent workers can cooperate with the community, it could also be with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan data, where the number of non-wage workers at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is about 5 million people who can be targeted for participation in Tapera," he said.

The housing financing assistance allocated in 2023 is worth IDR 30.38 trillion for 230 thousand housing units through FLPP, SBUM, and Tapera programs, including for SSB payments that were issued in the previous year. The budget allocation is the highest in the history of distribution of aid programs and convenience provided by the Government.

The allocation of FLPP funds in 2023 is IDR 25.18 trillion to facilitate KPR FLPP as many as 220,000 housing units, while the allocation of Tapera funds is IDR 0.85 trillion to facilitate the Tapera mortgage as many as 10,000 units.

That is the program launched by the Ministry of PUPR in collaboration with PB Tapera to build a decent house for people with low income.
