The water spill to the mainland or tidal flooding is still a problem in Semarang. The Semarang City Government (Pemkot) admits the problem is in the drainage.

This was conveyed by the Acting Mayor (Plt) of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu during a discussion entitled "Learning Semarang's Promises is Increasing" in Semarang, Central Java (Central Java), Wednesday, December 28.

"What is still homework is drainage. This includes crossing, bridge construction, and so on," he said.

According to him, drainage arrangement and development will continue next year, as part of infrastructure development that has been budgeted by the Semarang City Government through the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

"During 2022, the Semarang City Government has budgeted around IDR 1.4 trillion for infrastructure, this is still small. We are exploring CSR cooperation such as improving city parks and revitalizing the Old City," he said.

Regarding the budgeting from the Semarang City Regional Budget, said the Democrat Party politician, almost everything was absorbed and targeted the public.

Meanwhile, government observer from Diponegoro University Semarang Teguh Yuwono who was also a speaker said that development should not only be physically focused, but also unphysical.
