Central Java Police Prohibited From Use Of Petasan On New Year's Eve, Fire Flower Can As Long As You Get Permission From The Police

Towards the new year 2023, the Central Java Police appealed to the public not to burn firecrackers or fireworks when celebrating the end of 2022. Because the use of firecrackers is considered dangerous, even life-threatening. In addition, firecrackers are considered to disturb the environment and peace of the community.

"Detonating or burning firecrackers is not permitted. This is regulated in the 1951 Emergency Law and a number of other regulations," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol M Iqbal Alqudusy, in a written statement, Monday, December 27.

Iqbal said, many victims fell from firecrackers, both children and adults

"There is even a house that was sold out because of the fireworks explosion. Therefore, fireworks is prohibited because of its dangerous impact," he added.

However, Iqbal said that people are allowed to use fireworks or fireworks when celebrating New Year's Eve even with certain conditions.

"The use of fireworks on a large scale must have a permit. Companies or groups of people who want to light fireworks on New Year's Eve, please take care of the permits. For complete information, please contact the intelligence unit at the nearest police station," he said.

Iqbal conveyed that the Central Java Police and their ranks would all out secure New Year's Eve celebrations. The police will monitor every community activity, guard and patrol to maintain the comfort of residents on New Year's Eve

"Security posts have been prepared for Nataru's security. However, specifically for the new year, it is certain that all Central Java Police personnel will be deployed to the field," he said.

He also asked the public to be wise and consider many factors before leaving the house to celebrate New Year's Eve

"Avoid processions that can harm us and other motorists, especially now that it often rains. Please pay attention to health and safety factors before traveling," said Iqbal

"It is better for New Year's Eve to be filled with positive activities such as filling out quality time with family or other useful activities," he added.
