The Mataram Search and Rescue Office (SAR) evacuated a crew member (ABK) who died due to shortness of breath in the waters of the Lombok Strait, West Nusa Tenggara, Saturday, December 24.

Acting Head of the Mataram SAR Office, Muhdar, said that the deceased victim was identified as Pariakarta Gatot Parmoedji, a crew member of a supply type ship with the name AHTS Endeavor with the Indonesian flag.

"The ship sailed from Benoa, Bali to Lembar Harbor," Muhdar said as quoted by Antara. Saturday 24 December.

Supply ships are one of the means of sea transportation and are a very necessary means of rig/plat form services to serve offshore oil drilling.

From the information obtained, said Muhdar, previously the victim, who was in critical condition, had received first aid from the ship, but his life could not be saved. This information was conveyed by the ship's agent to the Mataram SAR Office.

In addition, ship traffic services help in coordinating with the ship and providing information on weather conditions.

The Mataram SAR Office then deployed personnel from the crew Rescue Boat 220 Mataram to go to the meeting location with elements from the Lembar Harbor Health Office and ship agents.

"The Mataram SAR team headed to the location using a Rigit Inflatable Boat (RIB), a distance traveled by 18.13 nautical miles from Lembar Harbor," he said.

He said that after arriving at the location at 19.15 WITA, the victim was evacuated to RIB and then taken to Lembar Harbor, West Lombok Regency.

"Arriving at the port, the victim was immediately handed over to the agent and the next plan was to be taken to Gerung Hospital, West Lombok Regency," he said.
