Join The East Java Governor's Office, KPK Will Call Khofifah Indar Parawansa

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will summon all parties involved in the alleged grant fund case at the East Java Provincial Government (Jatim) that dragged the Deputy Chairperson of the East Java DPRD, Sahat Tua Simanjuntak. Including the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

KPK chairman Firli Bahuri said the people involved in this case really needed their statements for the needs of investigations, prosecutions, and the judiciary.

"Of course everyone is summoned for questioning in accordance with the method and provisions as stipulated in the criminal procedural law law," Firli said when contacted, Saturday, December 24.

Firli ensured that the KPK would act professionally in investigating this grant fund case. He emphasized that those who saw, heard, and experienced the incident themselves would definitely be held accountable.

"So, the KPK is very professional in working in accordance with the principles of implementing the main tasks of the KPK," said Firli.

It is known that the KPK searched the office of the Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java at the East Java governor's office on Jalan Pahlawan Surabaya. Responding to the search, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that he was ready to cooperate.

"Certainly the East Java Provincial Government is ready to prepare data according to what the KPK needs," said Khofifah in Surabaya, Wednesday, December 21.

The search was carried out by the KPK related to the development of a corruption case of grant funds, which dragged the Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD, Sahat Tua Simanjuntak. However, Khofifah was economical, even though she admitted that she had heard about it, and respected the KPK's steps.

"It is part of a process that we must respect everyone," he said.
