The Jakarta Social Assistance Budget 2023 Welcoming 2 Folds, DKI Provincial Government: There Has Been An Improvement Of Recipients

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has allocated a budget of IDR 10 trillion for the distribution of social assistance (bansos). The funds were absorbed from the DKI regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD) in 2023.

This nominal has doubled from the social assistance budget during Anies Baswedan's leadership as Governor of DKI Jakarta, which is around IDR 5 trillion per year.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Premi Lasari, said that the increase in the social assistance budget did not only occur in Jakarta, but also in other areas. In DKI, the social assistance budget is increasing because there is indeed an increase in the number of social assistance recipients.

"Indeed, for the Social Service itself there has been an increase for recipients of social assistance. For example, the recipient of Jakarta's Disability Card this year is 14 thousand, next year it will be 17 thousand," said Premi when contacted, Saturday, December 24.

Premi said that the increase in social assistance recipients did not only occur in the DKI Social Service program. A number of regional work units (SKPD) also increased the number of beneficiaries, such as the Education Office and the DKI Maritime, Fisheries and Agriculture Service.

The increase in aid recipients, said Premi, was determined based on the renewal of the integrated social welfare data (DTKS).

"Dinsos itself has updated 4 times dtks with the aim of people who are entitled to social assistance," said Premi.

In updating this DTKS, the public can register applications as recipients of social assistance online, followed by deliberation at the village level to sort out residents who are included in the social assistance recipient criteria, as well as checking in the field for verification.
