NasDem Will Get Public Simpati If The Minister Is Reshuffled Jokowi For Political Reasons

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave a code to reshuffle the cabinet again. According to the Executive Director of Indonesian Political Parameters Adi Prayitno, the minister who will be caught with the reshuffle quota comes from the NasDem Party.

Adi assessed that the NasDem minister was hit by a cabinet reshuffle as a result of declaring Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024. However, NasDem will get public sympathy if Jokowi reshuffles his ministers for political reasons.

"The problem is, if the cabinet reshuffle this time was carried out by Jokowi just because of NasDem's political reasons for supporting Anies, it certainly is not too conducive. Because NasDem will get sympathy from the public," Adi said, Saturday, December 24.

This is because the party created by Surya Paloh has stated its commitment to support Jokowi until the end of the government period in 2024. "For example, the ministers were replaced not because of performance, but because of political factors that were considered to want to be different from Jokowi because they brought Anies," he continued.

Nevertheless, Adi saw that NasDem was actually waiting for this reshuffle moment. He considered that NasDem would get political sympathy to be the party that was wronged when his minister was reshuffled by Jokowi for his support for Anies.

"The risk is, if Jokowi reshuffles on the basis of political reasons, it is NasDem who will get sympathy. This is actually what NasDem is waiting for that they will feel as the party being wronged. Even though his commitment and political support for Jokowi will still be strong until 2024," he said.. But things are different if Jokowi reshuffles on the basis of the performance of the minister who is not competent. This step, said Adi, will be appreciated by the public.

Because in the rest of his position, the community assesses that the government must improve its performance in order to achieve the targets in programs and vision and mission that have not been achieved.

"Of course Jokowi thinks that in the remaining 2 years of government, he will definitely think, who is the minister who will be replaced and reshuffled. Of course, to activate all programs and vision and missions that have not yet been completed," said Adi.
