JAKARTA - A man with the initials ISW (54) carried out a self-immolation inside his house located on Jalan Kramat Pulo, Kramat Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, Friday, December 23, afternoon.

As a result of his actions, the victim was critical due to burns all over his body. The victim is still undergoing intensive treatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM).

Kramat Village Head Agus Yahya confirmed that one of the residents in his area had carried out this reckless act of self-immolation.

"According to information from residents, the victims who burned themselves were stressed or depressed. The victims were residents of RT 07/08," said Agus Yahya when confirmed by VOI, Friday, December 23.

Even so, the Kramat Village Head did not know for sure the cause of the victim's reckless death by setting himself on fire.

"For depression from the family, it doesn't seem like it's seen from the condition of the house. The information (victim) has been under stress for just this week," he said.

Furthermore, the Head of Village, Agus, explained that his party received reports of residents burning themselves after the incident. So that he does not yet know the motive and cause of the incident.

"We received information after he (the victim) burned himself. After the incident. The victim survived and was taken to the RSCM," he said.

Until this news was written, the victim was still undergoing intensive treatment at the RSCM. Meanwhile, the Kramat Village advised the family to rehabilitate the victim when the treatment period was over at the RSCM.

"We have suggested that if the family feels disturbed, please make a decision, whether it is necessary to go to an orphanage or under the supervision of the family," he said.
