The KPK summoned AKBP Bambang Kayun Bagus to be questioned as a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to falsification of letters in the case of the seizure of the rights of PT Aria Citra Mulia (ACM) heirs.

"Today, it is scheduled to summon and examine parties who have been named as suspects (Bambang Kayun) in the bribery corruption crime related to falsification of letters in the case of the seizure of the rights of PT ACM's heirs," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Friday, December 23, as reported by Antara.

The examination was carried out by the KPK investigating team at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta.

Previously, the KPK had named Bambang Kayun and the private sector as suspects in the alleged bribery case related to falsification of letters in the case of the seizure of the rights of the heirs of PT Aria Citra Mulia (ACM).

In this case, there are allegations that Bambang Kayun received billions of rupiah and luxury vehicles. The KPK will officially convey the identities of the parties as suspects, the chronology of alleged criminal acts, and the articles that are suspected after the investigation are declared sufficient.

For his determination as a suspect, Bambang Kayun has submitted a pretrial application at the South Jakarta District Court (PN). However, on Tuesday (13/12), the sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court (PN) Agung Sutomo rejected the pretrial application with the suspect applicant AKBP Bambang Kayun Bagus PS.

The judge assessed that the investigation of Bambang Kayun by the KPK as the respondent was in accordance with legal procedures and had met the requirements for the adequacy of evidence.

The judge's consideration in giving the decision includes the National Police as a civil servant and law enforcement officer so that the KPK has the authority to carry out investigations. Bambang Kayun occupies a strategic position so that he is qualified as a state administrator.

Next, the KPK has obtained four pieces of evidence so that it exceeds the minimum requirements, at least two pieces of evidence to determine someone as a suspect.
