JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) again reminded that the challenges in the digital space are huge. Apart from being an unlimited source of information, digital spaces spread negative content triggering bad effects.

"A large digital space is now flooded with negative content, hoaxes, fraud, hate speech, radicalism, and sexual exploitation," Jokowi wrote on his Instagram account, @jokowi December 23.

Therefore, Jokowi hopes that the skills of the people in the country in receiving digital information need to be improved. He also invited the public to be involved in spreading positive content.

"Our task together is to fulfill digital space with positive, creative, educating, soothing, and calling for peace," he said.

In this upload too, Jokowi included a video about efforts to increase digital literacy in Indonesian society. Along with increasing digital filtering and critical attitudes when receiving information, Jokowi believes that the public will not easily spread false information.

"In order to be able to create more educational creative content," said Jokowi.
