PAN Asks Heru Budi To Continue Formula E Jakarta, PDIP: Please, But Don't Use The APBD

The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, has invited the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta to continue the Formula E event in Jakarta next year.

Gembong also admitted that his party was not anti-to the electric car race. However, so far the PDIP against Formula E has been held by wasting the APBD.

This was in response to the desire of the PAN faction of the DKI DPRD when receiving Heru Budi's arrival to his faction's room during a gathering some time ago.

"In the beginning, we said that the PDIP faction did not reject Formula E at all. No. However, what we reject is the matter of allocating the Formula E budget which uses the APBD," said Gembong when contacted, Thursday, December 22.

Yang Gembong regretted that since Formula E was held on June 4 until Anies Baswedan's term as Governor of DKI Jakarta ended and was replaced by Heru at this time, there have been no reports of accountability for the use of the APBD.

Therefore, if Heru intends to continue the Formula E race in 2023 and 2024, such as the agreement between Anies and the license holder of Formula E, Gembong asks not to use the implementation costs sourced from the APBD.

"We encourage the Acting Governor, okay, if you want to continue Formula E, please. As long as you don't use APBD funds. If business to business (by PT Jakpro) please. However, don't deal with the APBD," he said.

Previously, the PAN faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD asked Heru Budi Hartono to continue Formula E in 2023 and 2024. PAN also asked Heru to hold Formula E better than when Anies Baswedan served as Governor of DKI previously.

"Formula E is still committed for the next two years. The evaluation, even if in the future, I don't know. I hope that Formula E can become your legacy in the future, it can be even better," said Farazandi, Monday, December 19.

Farazandi appreciated the electric car racing event that was held in the Anies era on June 4, 2022. However, according to him, Formula E yesterday had many obstacles and many preparations were made in a short time. The regional income from the absorption event is also not very encouraging.

"Even if it becomes your legacy in the future, please prepare it. Don't be like yesterday, sir," said Farazandi.

"Honestly, we appreciate the implementation. But for festivals, economic impacts on society, and others, to be honest, there are still many shortcomings, sir," he continued.
