Karawang Police Arrested 2 Unemployment Involved In Drugs

The Karawang District Police arrested two unemployed youths suspected of being involved in a case of drug abuse of methamphetamine in the urban area of Karawang. "The two youths who were arrested each had the initials NF (24) and AK (24)," said Karawang Police Chief AKBP Aldi Subartono in Karawang, Antara, Tuesday, December 20. The two youths, known as unemployed, were arrested at a house on Jalan Malabar F Number 10, Karangpawitan Village, West Karawang District, Karawang on Thursday last week. From the arrest, the police confiscated evidence in the form of 40 packs of orange plastic each in one clear plastic package containing white crystals and eight green plastic packs each in one clear plastic package containing white crystals, he said. Other evidence is a digital scale unit, and a cellphone. Meanwhile, the total amount of crystal methamphetamine seized was about 33.93 grams. According to him, the arrest began with information from the public who suspected that there was a drug transaction of methamphetamine. Based on this information, the officers immediately carried out an investigation by visiting the scene and looking for the characteristics of the people who were informed. "The information turned out to be true at a house on Jalan Malabar, Karangpawitan Village, West Karawang District, it turned out to be true," he said. When interrogated, the perpetrator admitted to getting methamphetamine from the perpetrator with the initials S, who is now hunting for the Narcotics Unit. To account for his actions, the perpetrator is now being held at the Karawang Police Headquarters detention center. They were threatened with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with 112 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with 132 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
