After Going Viral On Social Media, The South Jakarta Police Examined The Domestic Violence Case At The Signature Park Tebet Apartment, South Jakarta

The South Jakarta Metro Police are following up on a case of alleged domestic violence involving a company leader with the initials RIS who was busy on social media some time ago.

"We will follow up by conducting a case title and investigation," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 20.

Ary explained that the reported person with the initials RIS committed violence against the victim from 2021 to 2022 at the crime scene (TKP), namely the Signature Park Apartment on Jalan Letjen MT Haryono Kav. 22-23 Tebet, South Jakarta.

At that time, RIS, who served as the company's leader, committed violence against one of his family members, victim K, by hitting the victim's head with his hand.

"In addition, the reported party also kicked the victim in the back with his feet and often cursed the victim with harsh words," he continued.

In this incident, RIS committed violence against two family members, namely KR and KA, which were eventually reported by KEY.

The police also asked for information from the parking officer of the Signature Park Apartment with the initials ARH, a reporting employee with the initials RRM, and a security officer at the Signature Park Apartment with the initials N.

According to police information, this case has been hampered due to the fact that since last year there has been no post-mortem and medical records that can be used as evidence.

"Currently, the two victims refer to P2TP2A which is still in the process of two counselings until now," he said.

This case is being handled by the police with a police report numbered LP/B/2301/IX/2022/SPKT/Metro South Jakarta/Metro Jaya Police on September 23, 2022.

Articles that are suspected of being reported to the reported regarding violence against children and domestic violence as well as unpleasant acts with violence, namely Article 76C Jo 80 of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection Jo 44 of Law No. 23 of 2004 and Jo Article 335 of the Criminal Code regarding the abolition of domestic violence.

This domestic violence (KDRT) case is widely discussed on social media. In fact, one of the Indonesian rappers Young Lex through his official Instagram account posted a video of the reported abuse of his son.
