This Is A List Of The Acehnese Local Party That Participated In The 2024 General Election

YOGYAKARTA The General Election Commission (KPU) has released a list of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election. From the list of political parties, some of them are local Acehnese parties.

"Political parties participating in the national election have set 17 political parties and local political parties in Aceh for the DPRA and DPRK elections, there are 6 political parties," said KPU chairman Hasyim Asyari in a press statement after the National Pleno Recapitulation Meeting on the Verification Results and Determination of the Prospective Political Party for Participants in the 2024 Election, Wednesday, December 14, at the KPU Building, Jakarta.

Referring to the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2007 concerning the Local Political Party in Aceh, local political parties are political organizations formed by a group of Indonesian citizens who are domiciled in Aceh voluntarily on the basis of equal will and ideals to fight for the interests of members, society, nation and state through the selection of members of the Aceh People's Representative Council (DPRA)/Regency/City Representative Council (DPRK), Governors and Deputy Governors, as well as regents and deputy regents/mayors and deputy mayors.

In Aceh Province, there are six local political parties that have registered as participants in the 2024 election and passed the 2024 democratic party later. The six Aceh political parties are as follows.

Citing the official website of the Aceh Party, this political party is chaired by Tgk.Yester Mahmud Al-haythar. The Aceh Party itself is a political party in Aceh Province. This party was originally named after the Free Aceh Movement Party (GAM). But his name was changed to the Independent Aceh Movement Party.

This is the first time this party participated in the general election in 2009 in the Legislative Election. Although it was only the first time that the Aceh Party had won the election with 46.91% of the votes.

PAS Aceh is also one of Aceh's local parties that will participate in the 2024 General Election. This party is led by Teungku Bulqaini. PAS Aceh is the new party that will first take part in the 2024 General Election. This political party was born based on the benefit of religion, people, and the people of Aceh.

The Generation Party Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at Dan Taqwa (Gabthat) was also declared to have passed and will be a participant in the 2024 General Election later. The Gabthat Party was founded in 2007. This political party was originally an educational foundation. After becoming a political party, Gabthat then tried to register as a general election for Indonesia's previous legislature but failed because it did not pass verification. However, in the end, this party passed verification and was ready to participate in the 2024 election later.

This party changed from the Aceh Regional Party which was founded in 2007 as the Daulat Aceh Party. However, because the party did not reach a minimum of the votes to participate in the elections, the party later changed its name to the Aceh Peace Party. This party continues to make changes in name.

The Aceh Nanggroe Party (abbreviated as PNA) is a political party that was founded on April 24, 2012. The founder of PNA is Irwandi Yusuf, the former Governor of Aceh for the 2007-2012 period. This party also has a different name before. In 2017, this party was named the Aceh National Party. This political party began participating in the Indonesian legislative general election in 2014.

The SIRA Party is a party that has a long journey and is related to the struggle of the Acehnese people. The party was initiated by the civil activist of the Aceh Referendum Information Central organization in 1999. This political party was proclaimed on December 10, 2007 in Banda Aceh to coincide with International Human Rights Day.
