Pusdokkes Calls The Results Of DNA Examination Of Finger Cuts In Sayur Lodeh Out In Another Week

JAKARTA - The National Police's Center for Medicine and Health (Pusdokkes) is examining a sample of fingers in lodeh vegetables found in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). It took a week to find out the results of the examination.

Head of the Police Doctor Bureau (Karodokpol) of the National Police Health Center Brigadier General Pol. Nyoman Eddy Purnama Wirawan said the examination carried out by the Health Center included laboratory examinations, including DNA.

"We should finish it as soon as possible because it becomes a priority, because there are laboratory tests including DNA, maybe this week," he said when confirmed, Monday, December 19.

The National Police Health Center received a finger sample in lodeh vegetables after being sent from the Forensic Team of Bhayangkara Hospital Kupang on Saturday, December 17.

As previously reported, Belu Police Chief AKBP Yosep Krisbianto said a number of witnesses had been examined in connection with the discovery of the human finger.

The human finger cut was found when a resident ate lodeh vegetables at a shop in Kupang Regency.

"We have examined several witnesses, including the owner of the shop that sold the vegetables," he said.

Apart from the shop owner, the investigation team has also examined the owner of the tofu factory, but the results are still nil because no one knows the origin of the finger.

Not only that, the police have also examined several employees who worked in the shop, but no cuts were found on each finger.

"We have asked the doctor directly, and there has been confirmation from the doctor that it is true that it is a human finger cut," he said.
