Cirebon Coal Winds: Damaged Buildings, Tree And Tumbang Reclame Papan

West Java - Rain accompanied by strong winds hit several areas in Cirebon Regency on Sunday, December 18 afternoon, causing a number of trees to fall and buildings damaged.

Head of the Cirebon Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Alex Suheriyawan said his members had gone to the field to collect data and evacuate what was needed.

"We are still conducting assessments for strong winds, because there are many reports," said Alex in Cirebon, West Java, Sunday, December 18, as reported by Antara.

A fallen tree at a number of points in Cirebon has prevented vehicles from accessing roads. Alex admitted that his party was handling it by sawing and removing fallen trees.

"Our team is trying to clean the tree that blocked the road, so that vehicles can pass again, the number is not small, we are still collecting data," he added.

In addition to fallen trees, continued Alex, strong winds also caused a number of buildings, both owned by residents, and government property to be damaged.

"The strong winds occurred in Sumber, Losari, Plumbon, and several others. Especially in Losari Kidul Village, there was a tornado, we haven't recorded the losses," he said.

Meanwhile, from several videos circulating, rain accompanied by strong winds that occurred in Cirebon Regency also caused a number of billboards to collapse.
