JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said tourist visits, both for domestic tourists and foreign tourists in 2022, had exceeded the target. Meanwhile, the number of visits next year is targeted to increase to 7.4 million foreign tourists. Some are expected from religious tourism. In addition, tourists are interested in ecotourism, spiritual tourism, religious tourism," said Sandiaga Uno. "We are sure that despite the threat of a global recession, Indonesia will grow 5 percent next year and 5 percent again in 2024 so that the target of job creation of 4.4 million can be achieved," said Sandiaga Uno. Furthermore, Sandiaga Uno hopes that the Pabbajja Samamnera event in the Borobudur Temple area will become part of religious tourism that revives super priority destinations that have been set by the President to increase foreign and archipelago tourist visits. He said, if this year Pabbajja Samanera's activities were attended by 500 participants, next year it was hoped that 1,000 participants could participate.
