Police Escape From Sabetan Sajam, The Perpetrator Of The Serang Balik Brawl, A 17-year-old Youth, Was Secured

The Padang City Police almost became a victim of persecution in a brawl that occurred in the Seberang Padang area, South Padang, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) on Sunday, December 18 in the early hours of the morning.

Head of the Detention and Evidence Unit AKP Joko Sutriyanto said the incident that was almost experienced by his members when they were about to disperse the brawl.

"The group of brawlers carrying sharp weapons (sajam) we intercepted at the Seberang Padang Bridge, when they were about to be secured a motorbike was driving towards the officers," he said in Padang, Sunday, December 18, as reported by Antara.

He said that at the time of the incident one of the three teenagers riding an automatic motorbike threw a sharp weapon at the police who came riding a motorcycle.

Fortunately, the members who were targeted by the brawlers were able to avoid attacks. Other personnel then helped to secure it.

One of the three perpetrators who were determined to attack the officer with the initials RR (17) was arrested at the scene, while the other two fled.

"The perpetrators of RR and dozens of other teenagers who were caught were immediately taken to the Padang Police Office for further processing," said Joko.

According to him, the perpetrators of the brawl will be fostered and make an agreement, specifically for RR, it will be processed criminally because of the alleged possession of sharp weapons and their actions to attack officers.

It did not stop until securing RR, the Crime and Violence Unit of the Padang Police Satreskrim as a unit that handled the case tracing the identities of two other teenagers who were riding with RR.

After pocketing the identity, the team finally secured another perpetrator with the initials B (19) at around 07.00 WIB. Both RR and B are known to have their address at Jalan Gadung area, Lubuk Begalung District.

On the other hand, in the activity which was held from Saturday night to Sunday, December 18 that morning, the Padang Police arrested 18teen teenagers who were strongly suspected of being involved in a brawl.

Police also secured seven sharp weapons of the type of klewang and machete from the location, as well as a number of motorcycles.

He emphasized that the Padang Police will continue to provide the best service to the people of Padang City, especially in terms of maintaining a sense of security and peace.

"Every Sunday night there are often illegal racing and brawls that make the community restless, we from the Padang Police always follow up on these complaints to the fullest," he said.

The Padang Police are also not bored to remind parents to closely monitor the activities of their respective children, especially at night.

"If there is no urgent need, it should not be allowed to leave the house, lest something detrimental first and then regret it," he said.
