JAKARTA - Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) head Mohammad Eslami on Saturday said his country's nuclear enrichment capacity rose more than 100 percent or double from the previous one.

Eslami conveyed this at a meeting of members of the Strategic Faction in Majlis (Iran Parliament).

He said that the Strategic Action Plan that Majlis had passed in 2020 was the right law for the development of Iran's nuclear industry.

The implementation of this law increases Iran's nuclear enrichment to more than twice the total capacity recorded in the country's nuclear industry history, he said.

According to Eslami, nuclear energy and nuclear power plants (PLTN) have widely saved Iran's economy and had a positive impact on reducing fossil fuels and overcoming environmental problems.
