JAKARTA - The Minister of PPPA, Bintang Puspayoga, appreciates the steps taken by the Pemalang Police and Polda Metro Jaya in following up on cases of physical and psychological violence experienced by a household assistant (ART) in Simprug's apartment, Jakarta.

The nine perpetrators suspected of being involved have been detained. They are employers, employers' children, and several other ARTs.

The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) continues to coordinate with the Women and Children Protection Unit of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit and Polda Metro Jaya, as well as Pemalang Police, in handling this case.

Bintang Puspayoga said the violence experienced by the victim had provided physical and deep psychological trauma to the victim.

KemenPPPA will also ensure the fulfillment of the rights for victims and synergies between ministries/agencies to oversee this case completely.

According to him, coordination and collaboration was carried out between Bhayangkara Said Sukanto Hospital and the Integrated Service Unit of the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (UPT P2TP2A) DKI Jakarta Province in the physical recovery and psychological assistance of victims.

"In addition, assistance efforts need not only be given to victims but also to the families of the victims who are fighting for the victims, starting from the beginning the case was revealed until later the victims can be empowered and return to life," said the Minister of PPPA.
