Happy Jambi Citizens, Enter The Low Category For The 2022 Election Indictive Index

JAKARTA - Bawaslu stated that the 2024 Election and Election Insecurity Index (IKP) is a national program for prevention aspects. The good news is that Jambi is included in the low category of its vulnerability index.

"In the IKP launch, Jambi Province was in the low-prone category and this was different from the 2019 Election and 2020 Pilkada, where Jambi Province was categorized as a high-prone category," said the Kordiv for Prevention, Community Participation and Public Relations of the Jambi Provincial Election Pangawas Agency, Fahrul Rozi, in Jambi Saturday, December 17.

There are three goals as to why there is an IKP, first mapping potential vulnerabilities, second making projections and early detection of potential violations, and the third being the basis for the election and election phase prevention and supervision program 2024.

He said the decline from height to low was one of the factors in optimizing prevention aspect programs and strategies to build cooperative relations with all parties (stakeholders).

The decline in the Jambi Province IKP in the 2024 General Elections and Elections, because the supervisory work in the field is carried out with prevention efforts first. This is done in order to minimize all potential violations that exist, and are supported by all parties.

One of the prevention efforts made is to maximize cooperation and MoU with stakeholders in Jambi Province.

The Jambi Province Bawaslu has collaborated with 40 existing institutions and organizations of Bumi Sejak Jambi Sembilan Lurah. In addition to conducting an MoU, the Jambi Province Bawaslu also carries out participation monitoring and educational activities for participatory supervisory cadres, where currently approximately 600 alumni of participatory supervisory cadres in Jambi Province.

He said that in collecting data and collecting materials for IKP in the 2024 General Election and Election, it was assessed from several points in IKP construction with 4 dimensions, 12 subdimensions and 61 indicators.

"The entry of Jambi Province in the low-prone category does not mean that it will no longer carry out prevention innovations and other programs, but in the future, of course, this will continue to be an additional vitamin as a new energy to optimize prevention," said the former Jambi City Panwaslu.

The democratic election and election agenda for 2024 with integrity is certainly a common goal, because the 2024 General Elections and Elections are the affairs and responsibilities of all parties with the duties, authorities and obligations that have been regulated in the laws and regulations.

"The holding of the 2024 General Election and Election is a joint task, to jointly succeed in organizing this once every five-year democratic party," he said.

To note that Bawaslu launched the Election Insecurity Index and Simultaneous Elections 2024.

In the IKP, Bawaslu maps the potential for vulnerability in 34 provinces and 514 districts and cities throughout Indonesia, including the chairman and members of the Jambi Province Bawaslu along with the Head of the Secretariat, the Head of Supervision and Public Relations as well as the Jambi Province Bawaslu Staff which took place in Jakarta, Friday, (16/12).
