Residents of Kampung Bayam, former eviction for the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta, are still unable to occupy the Kampung Susun Bayam, a replacement residence promised by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
North Jakarta Mayor Ali Maulana Hakim threw the process of resolving the problem that befell his citizens to PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as a BUMD that built Kampung Susun Bayam.
He hopes that Jakpro can immediately complete the residential administration process which was previously inaugurated by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
Bearing in mind, the residents of Kampung Bayam have several times held actions to set up tents in front of the gates of Kampung Susun Bayam which is located north of JIS, as an effort to demand that they can inhabit immediately.
"They just go back and forth there (in front of JIS). While the important thing is that their aspirations can be conveyed, hopefully Jakpro can accommodate this, there can be a meeting point," Ali told reporters, Friday, December 16.
Based on information received by Ali, the names of prospective residents of Kampung Susun Bayam have been proposed by the North Jakarta City Government to Jakpro. Along with this, Jakpro is still processing the transfer of management to the DKI Provincial Government.
"Regarding the mechanism, when it has been submitted to the local government. Now, it's still in Jakpro. So, Jakpro is still negotiating. Hopefully, it will be the best," said Ali.
Since its inauguration in mid-October until now, the main problem that has caused residents of prospective residents who have not been able to occupy Kampung Susun Bayam is the monthly rental rate.
PT Jakpro, which built Kampung Susun Bayam, felt that it had to set a high tariff because the BUMD belonging to the DKI Provincial Government had to cover the operational costs of the flats. However, residents objected because they considered the rental costs offered by Jakpro to be too large.
Until finally, it was decided that Jakpro would hand over the management of Kampung Susun Bayam to the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Service (DPRKP) so that the rental rate could be equivalent to the rusunawa.
If it will become a rusunawa, the Rental Rate scheme for Kampung Susun Bayam will refer to Governor Regulation Number 55 of 2018 concerning Adjustment of Housing Service Retribution Tariffs.
However, until now, the plan to take over this management has not been realized. "The takeover is still an option. Later it will be reunited. (Management of Kampung Susun Bayam) is, once again, still in Jakpro," said Head of DPRKP DKI Sarjoko some time ago.
