JAKARTA - The findings of the Center for Political Communication Studies (CPCS) survey assessed that 78.5 percent of respondents were satisfied with the Joko Widodo - Ma'ruf Amin government.

"Jokowi is getting more and more great in the eyes of the public, with the level of satisfaction always high over the past year, and now reaching 78.5 percent," said CPCS Executive Director Tri Okta in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, December 15.

Okta said that the majority of the public were satisfied, which was 78.5 percent. Of this figure, 10.4 percent felt very satisfied.

In the past year, Okta said, the level of satisfaction was maintained to close to 80 percent, only briefly fell almost to around 50 percent after the delta variant wave (COVID-19).

According to Okta, the high level of public satisfaction and maintained stable is proof of the success of Jokowi's development and policies.

If he persists until the end of his term of office, Okta is of the view that many things will be Jokowi's legacy to Indonesia.

"At the same time, this is a challenge for its successor, whether he is able to maintain and continue the achievements that have been laid out by Jokowi," said Okta.

"Of course the public hopes that there will be sustainability towards the level as a developed country," he continued.

A total of 19.5 percent said they were dissatisfied, of which 1.1 percent were very dissatisfied, and the rest did not know / did not answer 2.0 percent.

The CPCS survey was conducted on December 1-8, 2022, with 1,200 respondents representing 34 provinces interviewed face-to-face.

The survey method is multistage random sampling, with a margin of error of approximately 2.9 percent and at a 95 percent confidence level.
