JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) sealed the office of Deputy Chairperson of the East Java DPRD (East Java) Sahat Tua Simanjuntak during a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday, December 14 evening.

Firli said that the KPK OTT against Sahat Tua Simanjuntak and several other parties was carried out at 20.24 WIB.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the KPK OTT was related to the alleged bribery in managing the allocation of grant funds.

"The KPK's arrest action in Surabaya is related to allegations of corruption in the handling of bribery in the allocation of grant funds sourced from the East Java Regional Budget," Ali Fikri said in his statement, Thursday, December 15.

Ali said the KPK team had so far arrested four people in the OTT in the city of Surabaya on Wednesday, December 14, one of whom was Sahat Tua Simanjuntak.
