PAPUA - The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Kalenak Murib is suspected of being the mastermind behind the shooting that killed Demian Yumame (34), an employee of the Papua Regional Development Bank (BPD), in Sinak, Puncak Regency. "The shooting was carried out on Tuesday, December 13 when the victim was at Sinak Market at around 09.30 WIT," said Commander of Korem 173/PVB Brigadier General Sri Widodo, Antara, Wednesday, December 14. The victim's body has been evacuated to Timika which was then sent to Sorong for burial in her hometown. From the reports received, the victim was shot at close range, so the security forces in Sinak are trying to catch the culprit. "Hopefully the security forces can arrest Kalenak Murib and his members," said Brigadier General Sri Widodo. The Korem 173/PVB area includes Biak, Supiori, Waropen, and Yapen Islands Regencies in Papua Province and Nabire, Deiyai, Dogiyai, Paniai, Intan Jaya, Puncak and Puncak Jaya Regencies which are included in Central Papua Province.
