Not A Loyal Cadre Type, Ganjar Pranowo Is Considered Impulsible To Withdraw KIB Out Of PDIP

JAKARTA - Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) Dedi Kurnia Syah assessed that the meeting point of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) was in the figure of Ganjar Pranowo. The majority of parties members of KIB are known to support the Governor of Central Java running as a presidential candidate in 2024. "When PPP carries the names of presidential candidates, one of those entered is Ganjar Pranowo. This is a common ground for all, because Ganjar is approved by KIB partners. Dedi said that the discourse of pairing Ganjar Pranowo and Airlangga Hartarto had been heard for a long time, because both of them were known to be close to President Joko Widodo.

According to him, currently KIB is just waiting for the PDI-P (PDIP) to move closer or give up its cadre Ganjar Pranowo.

"Ganjar in a situation in the past year has shown that he is not the type of PDIP cadre who is quite loyal. He has proven to have committed a lot of violations of internal discipline," said Dedi.

Dedi assessed that Ganjar dared to take the opportunity if he was promoted to Presidential Candidate 2024. When that opportunity came, Ganjar was very likely to leave the PDIP. "Golkar agreed, PAN and PPP agreed to carry Ganjar, and indeed the potential for victory was quite high. I don't think it's a difficult case to get Ganjar out of PDIP," he said.

"But if KIB ends up in a coalition with PDIP, then PDIP will be rational and not force the Soekarno route to advance," continued Dedi.
