Monitoring The Arrival Of Foreign Tourists, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Optimizing The Target Of 5.2 Million Tourists Achieved

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno admitted that he continues to monitor foreign tourist arrivals at the main entrances of foreign tourists, namely Bali and Jakarta.

From the results of this monitoring, there was no cancellation of visits which resulted in a decrease in the number of foreign tourist arrivals (tourists).

"We continue to massively disseminate information to prospective tourists who will visit, stating that Indonesia has a red carpet in an open sense. We really appreciate guests and we welcome guests," said Sandiaga Uno in his official statement, Monday, December 12.

Sandiaga Uno has also dispatched a team to promote and educate as well as communicate and socialize. The targets are foreign tourists and tourism industry players in the main markets of foreign tourists.

The goal is that they do not hesitate to come to travel as well as invest in Indonesia.

The affirmation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno is related to the RKUHP which some time ago was ratified by the DPR RI, in which there is an article that becomes the question of many prospective tourists.

"We immediately moved, we anticipate. Our team is now in Sydney, Australia, one of which is to ensure and guarantee tourists that they are safe, comfortable, and fun when traveling in Indonesia," said Sandiaga Uno.

Furthermore, socialization is also carried out intensively to tourism industry players in the country and other stakeholders. Including with the legal apparatus to convey that Indonesia is safe not only from tourist visits, but also in terms of investment.

"The more foreign tourists come to Indonesia, our economy gets better and jobs are increasingly open," he explained. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has set a target for foreign tourist arrivals in 2022 to reach 5.2 million, but only 3.6 million have been realized.
