The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya regulates illegal parking in the Senopati, Gunawarman, and Blok S areas, South Jakarta, Sunday night, December 11, because it disturbs public order and comfort.

"The National Police of the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya held an apple to control motorists who parked inappropriately along Jalan Gunawarman, Jalan Senopati and Jalan Suryo Blok S, South Jakarta," said the statement quoted from the Instagram account of the Ditlantas Polda Metro @TMCPoldaMetro, Sunday night.

The Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya activity received positive responses from netizens, one of which was Instagram users with the @lucaderian212 account.

"Well, there are often restaurants that mark roadside cars in the adanyaplanya wurakak causing traffic jams," said @lucaderian212 in the comments column uploaded by the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya.

Previously, Deputy Director of Traffic (Wadirlantas) Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Rusdy Pramana said that taking action against illegal parking was a follow-up to the direction of the Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran.

Rusdy added that his party immediately responded to directions from the Metro Jaya Police Chief regarding the rise of illegal parking at a number of points that resulted in traffic jams.

Not only that, the Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya has also held a meeting with Traffic Heads and the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) regarding illegal parking in each Jakarta area.

"We have identified several areas prone to traffic jams, one of which is Jl Gunawarman, Senopati, Suryo," said Rusdy.

He said the police also established security posts together with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency at each point prone to congestion.
