Sleman Hospital In Collaboration With Baznas Selenglakan Free Cataract Operations

JAKARTA - The Sleman Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in collaboration with the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) Sleman and the Yogyakarta Branch Indonesian Eye Specialist Association (Perdami), held free dwarf operations, Sunday 11 December.

"There are 41 participants who received free dwarf operations at the Sleman Hospital today," said Sleman Hospital Director Novita Krisnaeni on the sidelines of a catarak social service operation activity, quoted from Antara.

According to him, the free dwarf operation social service activity is part of a series of events to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the Sleman Hospital.

"Free dwarf operations are carried out at the Central Surgeon Installation, 2nd Floor of the Integrated Service Building at the Sleman Hospital," he said.

He said this activity was expected to help people whose vision was disturbed because of the dwarf.

"Hopefully after the operation they will be more productive because their vision is getting better," he said.

Novita said that this activity was a form of real contribution in supporting public health.

"The series of activities commemorating the 45th Anniversary of the Sleman Hospital carries the theme 'Sesarengan Waras Task Force Sleman Hospital'," he said.

He hopes that with the spirit of the theme and with various existing health services, Sleman Hospital will further strengthen itself into the hospital of choice for the people in Sleman Regency and its surroundings.

On this occasion, Novita also expressed her gratitude to Baznas Sleman, IDI Sleman Branch, Yogyakarta Branch Perdami and all parties who have participated in this catarak social service activity.

"We hope that this collaboration will continue to be maintained continuously so that in the future more people can be facilitated by free dwarf operations," he said.

Representative from Dr Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta Dr. Alba Aza Nuadi, Sp.M said that this activity was a form of cooperation between Sleman Hospital and Dr Sardjito Hospital.

He hopes that this activity will continue continuously because the social service of dwarf operations can have a positive impact on eradicating blindness and raising awareness of eye health.

Meanwhile, one of the participants in the Catarak operation of Mrs. Imronah and her son, Mrs. Nur, a resident of Kapanewon (District) Tempel, Sleman, said that this activity was very beneficial for her, especially eye health and hoped that this activity could be held again next year.
