Deputy Chairman Of The Supreme Court: 17.28 PerCENT Of Supreme Court Apparatus Potentially Involved In Problems

JAKARTA - Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) for Non-Judicial Sunarto revealed that 17.28 percent of MA employees and judicial agencies have the potential to be involved in problems such as corruption cases.

Sunarto said that based on the National Integrity Index survey conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) recently.

"From the survey results, the Supreme Court got 82.72 percent of the results. So our conclusion, especially myself, is that 17.28 percent of the Supreme Court officials have the potential to cause problems," he said in Jakarta, Friday, December 9, as reported by Antara.

Sunarto said the number of apparatus that could potentially cause this problem became homework that had to be resolved.

Even though it is only limited to potential, Sunarto considers it necessary to anticipate as early as possible. Moreover, in accordance with the blueprint prepared by the institution, the Supreme Court wants to create an authoritative judicial body.

"So, if in 2035 there is (a judge) who gets another hand arrest operation or violates the law, then the blueprint fails," he explained.

Therefore, the former High Court Justice of Gorontalo said that it was necessary to work hard so that 17.28 percent or about seven judges from 47 Supreme Court judges in the Supreme Court were reminded not to cause problems such as being involved in corruption cases.

"It's potential not necessarily to do it. But God willing, the remaining 82 percent will be untouched even though their names are sold everywhere," he said.

On that occasion, Sunarto also mentioned the judge who was caught in a legal case. The Supreme Court ensures that it will not intervene in cases that are ensnaring Supreme Court justices and judicial judges as well as employees under the auspices of the institution by the KPK.

"We respect. If we comment, it will appear that there is intervention or defending or defending the corps, it is not allowed," he said.

Sunarto reiterated that the Supreme Court ensures that it will respect every legal process carried out by the anti-corruption agency. MA believes that the KPK has taken an action in accordance with its authority.

Finally, the Supreme Court Justice who was born in Sumenep 1959 believes that as a law enforcement agency, the KPK must understand the regulations or legal rules so that two Supreme Court justices and two judicial judges are suspects.
