I'm Scared! Land Movements Already Take Place At Three Points In East Jakarta, Here's The Location

JAKARTA - One of the sub-districts in East Jakarta is said to have seen landslides or landslides. Precisely at three points, namely Balekambang Village, Kramatjati District, East Jakarta.

"In this year, on average, there are no vacant land (longsor). There are three locations in Balekambang Village, namely in the Kalisari area, Jalan Eretan RW 01 and one other location. But it did not take any lives and property because no buildings were affected, only the locations of the vacant lands were affected," said Kramatjati sub-district head Rudy Syahrul when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, December 7.

The number of landslides in Balekambang Village, continued Rudy, is because the location on the banks of the Ciliwung River has not been installed with sheet piles, making it prone to landslides.

"Yesterday there was mostly (longsor) in Balekambang. Especially in Balekambang, many sheet piles have not been installed because many lands have not been acquired," he said.

Meanwhile, in Cililitan Village and Cawang Village, which are also crossing the Ciliwung River, there are no reports of landslides.

"Because Cawang and Cililitan have been in the sheet pile. Balekambang is not entirely on the sheet pile. The average (riverbank) has not been sheet piled by BBWSCC and has not finished land acquisition. Because it is a bit prone to landslides," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said that it had not received any reports of information on areas experiencing landslides at 10 vulnerable points in Jakarta.

"So far there has been no information on landslides in Jakarta, it is still monitored safe," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Disaster Data and Information Processing Unit, Michael Sitanggang when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, December 6.

Michael said that currently the rainfall condition is still relatively normal, not yet to the extreme rain stage.

"This means that there is rain but the intensity is not too heavy and the duration is short. Until now (the movement of landslides or landslides in Jakarta) is still nil," he said.
