Ahead Of The Nataru Holiday, There Is No Jump In Bus Passengers At Kalideres Terminal

JAKARTA - Ahead of the 2023 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays, there has been no increase in passengers at the West Jakarta Kalideres intercity and provincial bus terminal (AKAP) on Tuesday, December 6.

"There is no sign of an increase yet, it is still normal," said the officer when met at Kalideres Terminal, Tuesday, December 6.

No passenger activity got off or took a significant bus at the terminal. Then, there are no queues that arise at a number of company counters available at Kalideres Terminal.

Usually before the holidays, there are posts to check the health of bus drivers or inspect the feasibility of the bus. However, entering the sixth day of December, no such post has yet stood within the Kalideres Terminal.

Head of Kalideres Terminal Revi Zulkarnaen said the peak of the surge in passengers occurred on December 29 and 30, 2022.

"Judging from the data, the peak of passengers is December 29 and 30, 2022, after Christmas and before the new year," Revi told reporters.

According to Revi, during this year's Nataru holiday, passengers will not be as many as the Eid holiday. Because this year Christmas Day falls on Sunday.

"There may be a few passengers due to the fall of Christmas Day on Sunday. So this year it is predicted to be the same as week-week days," he said.
