JAKARTA - A motorcycle thief was desperate to remove a firearm at the victim when he was caught stealing a Yamaha Nmax motorbike on Jalan warung Ujung, Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, East Jakarta.

The incident was caught on a CCTV camera around the victim's house. From the CCTV footage, the incident occurred when one of the three perpetrators got off the red PCX motorcycle. The perpetrator approached the victim's Yamaha NMAX motorbike parked in front of the house.

After successfully breaking the ignition of the motorcycle, the perpetrator tried to push the victim's motorbike. However, the victim who was inside the house and knew about the incident immediately caught the perpetrator.

Then the perpetrator took out a firearm when he was about to be arrested by the victim. So, the victim finally resigned and the perpetrator managed to escape without carrying the stolen motorbike.

According to Aisyah, the victim's mother, the incident occurred after it rained so that her home environment was quiet from residents' activities.

"The motorbike parked in front of the house, my son really came home. The motorbike was pushed by the perpetrator but the motorbike fell. The perpetrator immediately took out the gun, he shouted I shot Lo. So my son avoided it," Aisyah told reporters, Monday, December 5.

According to the testimony of witnesses who had seen, the perpetrators numbered 3 people using 2 motorbikes. As a result of the incident, the victim has not reported to the police.

Although there has been no report yet, members of the Matraman Police have visited the scene to check. The motorcycle theft case was handled by the Matraman Police.
