"Through this activity, students can convey their best work, which later does not rule out being used as a supporting tool for authorized agencies in tackling traffic accidents," he said.

Munadi said that the number of traffic accidents in Indonesia mostly involves productive age, which is 15-24 years. "This is one of the things that underlies Jasa Raharja to initiate a competition program for innovation ideas, one of the implementations of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program," he added.

JR-Rovation is a competition for students and college students throughout Indonesia which is held with two theme categories. The first category, a safe science, is the innovation of driving safety tools which will later be demonstrated and can be used by the wider community with the aim of minimizing the risks and impacts of traffic accidents. The second category, the second social one is safe, namely the implementation of programs, movements, or activities that are social (community involvement) and massive and have an impact on reducing traffic accident rates.

As an appreciation, Jasa Raharja gave prizes to the first to third place winners in each category. For the first winner, get a prize of Rp. 70 million, second place winner Rp. 50 million, and third place winner Rp. 30 million. "Hopefully, from this event we will get the best works, be it tools, systems, or other ideas that have an impact on traffic safety," said Munadi.

At the peak of the JR-Rovation event, students led by the Assistant Deputy for Insurance Services and the Ministry of SOEs Pension Fund, Anindita Eka Wibisono, also made a traffic safety declaration.

Anindita said, as the next young generation of the nation, students play an important role in realizing a decrease in the rate of traffic accidents, the majority of which involve productive age. Therefore, he continued, the Ministry of SOEs continues to encourage the maximum emergence of creative talents from the younger generation.

"This country needs a young generation to develop a knowledge base economy so that there will be many innovations that Indonesia needs to compete with other countries. The younger generation must be able to develop innovation ideas because it will become a strength in the future to compete," added Anindita.

Anindita also said that the Ministry of SOEs encourages Jasa Raharja and other stakeholders to create a harmonious, coordinated and sustainable traffic safety ecosystem and roadmap. He assessed that Jasa Raharja as part of the 1st pillar, namely a Safe System, has initiated efforts to explore ideas and creativity as a new approach in creating traffic safety. "This effort is wrapped in the form of JR-Rovation competition, which provides opportunities for students as the nation's next young generation to contribute to supporting traffic safety goals," he said.

According to Anindita, JR-Rovation is one of the forums for student innovation in creating something new to support traffic safety on the highway. "This is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, namely the goal of number 4 (four) Quality Education, goal number 8, Economic Growth and Adequate Work and goal number 17, namely Partnerships in Achieving Goals," he said.

He hopes that the best innovation in the JR-Rovation event can continue to be developed. "So that it has a significant positive impact in reducing the number of traffic accidents and road transportation in Indonesia," said Anindita.
