Kejari Has Determined The Former Director Of PDAM Tirta Krueng Meureudu Aceh As A Corruption Suspect

ACEH - Pidie Jaya District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has named SB, former PDAM Director Tirta Krueng Meureudu, as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the management of irregularities in the receipt of accounts for PDAM customers, Tirta Krueng Meureudu, from 2016 to 2020.

"The suspect is former PDAM Director Tirta Krueng Meureudu," said Head of the Pidie Jaya Kejari Oktario Hartawan Achmad, Wednesday, November 30, confiscated by Antara.

Oktario Hartawan said the determination was based on the report on the results of the audit of the calculation of state losses by the Aceh Inspectorate on misappropriation of funds, which found that the income of water bills was not deposited into the bank account of PDAM Tirta Krueng Meureudu.

"The suspect did not carry out his duties and responsibilities professionally as stated in Law No. 17 of 2003 concerning State Finance, so that it was found that there were more than IDR 700 million in state losses," said Oktario Hartawan.

He added that from the billed account data as recorded in the General Treasury Book (BKU), the DRD book was billed compared to the Collection Revenue Report (LPP) from the bank account was successfully billed from 2016 to 2020 in the amount of Rp12,018,320,560.

Meanwhile, the amount of bill deposited based on receipt slips and notes on BKU was only Rp. 11,228,355,465. So, suffered a loss of Rp. 712,283,169.00 because it was not deposited.

According to him, based on sufficient evidence in accordance with the provisions of Article 183 and Article 184 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, investigators named SB as a suspect in the alleged case of misappropriation in the management of the bill of funds.

Now the suspect is being held at the Class Il B Sigli Detention Center in order to expedite the investigation based on the provisions of Articles 21 Paragraph (1) and (4) of the Criminal Procedure Code, taking into account subjective requirements and objective requirements, the suspect is detained by investigators for the next 20 days.
