ACEH - The Lhokseumawe District Attorney's Office (Kejari) said the state losses resulting from alleged corruption in the construction of the people's market in Ujong Blang, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh reached Rp305 million. Head of the Intelligence Section of the Lhokseumawe District Attorney's Office, Benny Daniel Parlaungan, said that the results of the audit of state losses for the Ujong Blang People's Market revitalization project had been issued by the Inspectorate of Lhokseumawe City. "The revitalization project of the Ujong Blang People's Market with a contract value of Rp. 5.6 billion, sourced from the 2018 State Budget. The results have come out and it was found that there was a state loss of Rp. 305 million," said Benny Daniel in Lhokseumawe, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, November 30. Benny said that his party is currently finalizing the case file for P21. Subsequently, the case was submitted to the public prosecutor. Then, it will be transferred to the Banda Aceh Corruption Court (Tipikor). Benny said investigators had also examined 12 witnesses. Meanwhile, the suspects are now two people, namely the initials AQ (40) as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) at the Lhokseumawe City Disperindapkop, and SN (39) as a consultant. Meanwhile, another suspect with the initials RU (59), as a project partner, died some time ago, so the case on behalf of the person concerned was terminated. Allegations of corruption in the construction of the people's market in Ujong Blang, Lhokseumawe City began with the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) during an audit in 2019. BPK found indications of state financial losses of Rp356 million. From the report, Lhokseumawe investigators investigated it. Investigators cooperated with a team of ground experts, concrete experts, and laboratory experts from Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic found indications that the project work was not in accordance with specifications.
