TANGERANG - Tangerang Metro Police are still investigating the motive for the death of a woman named DW (42) who was desperate to burn herself in her house in Perum Pondok Makmur, Gebang Raya, Periuk, Tangerang City.

The Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho, said the victim's motive for setting himself on fire was suspected to be due to family problems. This is based on the testimony of a number of witnesses who have been examined.

"There was a witness statement saying that the victim's husband told me that there was only problem with the family," said Zain when confirmed, Tuesday, November 29.

Zain admitted that he could not conclude what the problem of his family was like. Therefore, he is still waiting for information from the victim's husband.

"The victim's husband cannot be asked for information, he is still in shock," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Endra Zulpan, said the victim burned himself suspected of being depressed because her affair with another man was discovered by her husband.

"The victim was caught by her husband having an affair with an initial man S," said Zulpan.

The victim's husband tried to strengthen evidence of his wife's infidelity by luring S (the suspect) to come to his house.

The victim's husband caught the victim alone with S, he said.

The relationship between the husband and the victim is getting worse. In fact, the two were involved in a great argument on Monday, November 28, in the morning.

But when the victim's husband went to work, the victim left the house to buy four bottles of gasoline. At that time the victim chose to end his life by setting himself on fire.

The motive was that the victim committed suicide due to severe depression, because his halalness was often brought up. The victim feels guilty because he has made a big mistake which has a negative impact on the family," he concluded.
