Notpal Sub Sub Sub Sub Sub Sub Dayak, Jokowi: That Is, Our Country Is Very Large

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) called on all parties to avoid social clashes and not to fight each other during the political year ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous General Election (Pemilu).

"I entrust it, I entrust it, I entrust it. We all maintain political stability, agree? Don't get friction. Avoid it. Don't let anyone get hit. Avoid it. Don't let anyone play against each other," said Jokowi in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Tuesday, November 29, as reported by Antara.

Jokowi also warned all parties to be careful in the midst of the dynamics of the political year ahead of the 2024 General Election. He said Indonesia has a diverse number of tribes, even up to 714 tribes, so there should be no friction among the community. Jokowi also encouraged all parties to maintain security stability.

"This country must be safe. Agree?" he said.

If state security is maintained, he continued, the Government can increase the rate of economic growth.

Jokowi also reminded that the diversity of the Indonesian nation is a great strength. Therefore, the diversity of the nation, according to him, should not be forgotten and must always be cared for.

"The difference is not divisive. The difference is strength. The difference is not weakening, but strengthening," he added.

He gave an example of one of the diversity of tribes in Indonesia, namely the Dayak Tribe in Kalimantan which has hundreds of sub-suku. Therefore, he appealed to Indonesia's diversity to be held firmly by various parties, including by future Indonesian leaders.

"I don't remember everything because there are 406 sub-tribal Dayak. What does that mean? How big our country is. That's what we often don't realize, and the most important thing is that Indonesian leaders are now in the future and in the future again, anyone must realize that Indonesia is diverse," said Jokowi.
