JAKARTA - Israel's Foreign Ministry is preparing to send new humanitarian aid to Ukraine amid Russia's ongoing special military operations, including generators, as Russian attacks intensively target Kyiv's energy infrastructure.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Thursday, in which he outlined the country's need for energy, as well as foreign aid assistance to export food.

The Times of Israel reported on Sunday that Israel would ship 20 generators, costing around $1 million to Ukraine via Europe.

In addition, MASHAV, Israel's official international development cooperation program, plans to send medicines and medical equipment worth about $1 million to Ukraine in the near future, the newspaper continued, according to Sputnik News Nov. 28.

Separately, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Kyiv had reached an agreement with 12 countries, including Israel, on the delivery of energy equipment to Ukraine.

Since October, Russia has admitted to targeting Ukraine's civil energy network far from the front lines, as Ukraine's retaliatory attacks have reclaimed territory from Russian invaders in the east and south.

Moscow says its missile strike goal is to weaken Ukraine's ability to fight and encourage it to negotiate.

Kyiv said the attack on infrastructure was a war crime, which was deliberately intended to harm civilians and violate national will.

President Zelensky appealed to the public to save electricity, especially in the worst-affected areas such as Kyiv, exceedsia in the southwest, Sumy in the north and Odesa in the Black Sea.

"About 10 million people are without electricity. Authorities in several places ordered a forced emergency blackout," President Zelensky said, citing Reuters.

"No matter what terrorists want, no matter what they try to achieve, we have to get through this winter and become stronger in the spring than we are now, even better prepared for the release of our entire region than it is now," President Zelensky said.
