The SAR Team Finds The Body Of A 10-year-old Boy Who Drowned In The Jatinegara BKT River

The joint SAR team managed to find the body of a 10-year-old boy with the initials F who had drowned in the East Flood Canal (BKT), Jatinegara, East Jakarta, in a state of death.

The victim's body was found with a radius of 40 meters from the scene Monday, November 28, at around 05.30 WIB.

"The joint SAR team found the victim this morning. The victim was evacuated to the funeral home to be handed over to the family," said Head of the Jakarta SAR Office as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) during the SAR operation, Fazzli when confirmed by VOI, Monday, November 28, morning.

Fazzli explained that the search for victims was carried out by two teams. The first team conducted a search using a rubber boat with a radius of 1 KM from the scene.

"The second team conducted a search below the surface of the water using aqua eye and Underwater Search Device and continued with diving around the scene of the incident at a radius of 10 AD," he said.

The joint SAR elements involved in the search consisted of the Jakarta SAR Office, Jatinegara Police, DKI Jakarta BPBD, DKI Jakarta Damkar, Baibnsa Jatinegara, FKDM, LMK, surrounding communities and others.

Previously, it was reported that a boy with the initials F (10) drowned in the East Flood Canal River, RT 006/06, South Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Sunday, November 27 afternoon.

The victim was reported missing by residents to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. post at around 15.20 WIB. After receiving the report, firefighters deployed 1 rubber boat with 4 rescue personnel.

"After receiving the report, we visited the location at 15.26 WIB for the search for the drowning victim," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when contacted, Sunday, November 27.

The incident began when the victim and his partner were playing on the edge of the BKT River to swim.

"The victim was swimming with 3 of his colleagues, but the victim drowned and was carried away by the current. Currently we are still looking for the 10-year-old boy," he said.
