Waiting For The Acting Governor Heru To Announce The Ascension Of The DKI Jakarta UMP 2023 Today

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono will announce an increase in the amount of the DKI Jakarta provincial minimum wage (UMP) in 2023 today, Monday, November 28. This was revealed by Heru some time ago.

"Later on Monday, November 28 (UMP 2023 will be announced)," Heru said on Friday, November 25.

Head of the Manpower, Transmigration, Energy Office of DKI Jakarta Andri Yansyah said the decision to determine the 2023 UMP that will be determined by Heru refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 18 of 2022.

Several parties who are members of the DKI Jakarta Wage Council have proposed a different amount of wage increase. The government's element proposes the Jakarta UMP to increase by 5.6 percent or to Rp4.9 million.

This amount is calculated from inflation variables, economic growth, andfa variables (alpha). The alpha variable is a labor contribution to economic growth which forms in the form of a certain value from the range of values that have been determined by the Central Government, which is between 10 and 30 percent.

"During the wage council session, the government element proposed in accordance with Permenaker Number 18 of 2022, using alpha 20 percent, equivalent to IDR 4,901,798, an increase of 5.6 percent," Andri said on Thursday, November 24.

Apart from government elements, the Wage Council session also gave birth to three other recommendations.

The three recommendations came from elements of workers, elements of entrepreneurs represented by the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo), and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) who also came from elements of entrepreneurs.

"Kadin suggested that the UMP amount would have attended Permenaker 18 2022, but he took 10 percent alpha. He proposed at IDR 4,879,053 or 5.11 percent," he said.

Meanwhile, the proposal submitted by the workers was 10.55 percent or IDR 5,151,000. This amount is calculated from the value of inflation plus economic growth (yoy).

Meanwhile, Apindo representatives remain determined to make Government Regulation (PP) Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages as the basis for calculating the 2023 UMP. They proposed an increase of 2.62 percent.

"The Apindo element, they proposed at 2.62 according to the calculation of PP 36 of 2021. The range is IDR 4,763,293," he said.
