The Ministry Of PPPA Asks The Police To Immediately Arrest Perpetrators Of Violence Against Children In Bonto Atu Sulsel

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection encourages the local police to immediately arrest NN (20), a perpetrator of violence against children in Bonto Atu Village, Bissappu District, Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi.

"The police should immediately hunt down the alleged perpetrators and process them legally," said Deputy for Child Special Protection at the Ministry of PPPA Nahar, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 27.

This case was revealed after a video recording of NN's violence against the victim (RA, 3) circulated on social media. And at this time, NN is reportedly still running away.

Nahar said that in this case, NN and AP (the victim's mother) were known to often fight. Then NN often vents his anger on AP's children.

"NN and AP are suspected of having a close relationship. However, both of them often fight and the perpetrator often vents it on AP's children," explained Nahar.

AP finally reported NN's actions to the police. "The victim's mother has reported NN to the police," said Nahar.

Nahar said that so far, the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Bantaeng Regency through the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A) has reached out to victims and victims' mothers and coordinated to follow up on this case.

Currently, the victim and her mother have returned to Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, their area of origin.

Furthermore, Nahar appealed to the entire community that the Ministry of PPPA has a complaint service for violence against women and children, namely SAPA 129.

The public can report the violence seen or experienced to the SAPA 129 complaint service which operates 24 hours.
