The Cilegon Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) has arrested a married couple (Pasutri) who carried out ATMs at Alfamart Suralaya Village, Pulomerak District, Cilegon City. The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilegon Police, AKP Mochmad Nandar, said that the perpetrator was arrested on Thursday, November 24 by the victim.

"The two perpetrators are a married couple, husband and initials AB (45) and wife with the initials NP (18), both residents of Wonorejo, Muara Sabak Timur Jabung Lampung. Meanwhile, the victim is a man with the initials JM (39), a resident of Malang Box, Suralaya Village, Pulomerak District, Cilegon City. Nandar explained that at that time the victim JM went to BRI ATM which was at Alfamart to collect money. After the victim entered BRI's ATM card, it turned out that the card could not come out.

"Suddenly, the perpetrator AB immediately patted the victim's left shoulder and ordered to enter the victim's Bank BRI ATM card PIN twice, but the card still could not come out, and the victim was ordered by the perpetrator AB to come to Bank BRI." Nandar explained.

Realizing that he was being tricked by the perpetrator, the victim rebelled and reclaimed his ATM card.

"Not long after, the AB perpetrator was arrested along with evidence of the victim's BRI Bank ATM card that was already in the hands of the perpetrator. Juni (the victim) was suspicious of the perpetrator who was later secured by him," added Nandar.

Perpetrator AB together with NP came to the location using a black Toyota Rush number BH 1111 LA.

"For this incident, two perpetrators of the crime of theft with weight as referred to in Article 363 of the Criminal Code, the perpetrators AB and NP were sentenced to a maximum sentence of 5 years," concluded Nandar.
