WONOGIRI - Wonogiri Police have named a driver of the Panca Tunggal Minibus who had a single accident with eight deaths in Kepuh Kulon Hamlet, Nguntoronadi, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, as a suspect. "From the results of the case title, investigators named W (44) as a suspect," said Wonogiri Police Chief AKBP Dydit Dwi Susanto in a press release in Semarang, Antara, Thursday, November 24. According to him, the Wonogiri Police Traffic Unit has conducted a crime scene investigation with the Central Java Police Traffic Accident Analysis Team (TAA). From the results of the crime scene, he said, it was known that the unlucky minibus with the police number AD 1685 BG was last tested for KIR in March 2021. In addition, he continued, suspect W, who is a resident of Nguntoronadi, Wonogiri Regency, only pocketed SIM A. "Even though the minibus must have a general B1 SIM," he said. He added that the minibus is known to carry 42 passengers or exceeding capacity. For his actions, the suspect, who is currently being detained, was charged with Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. Previously, it was reported that eight people died in a single traffic accident by a Panca Tunggal Minibus in Kepuh Kulon Hamlet, Nguntoronadi, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, last Monday night. The accident occurred as a result of a minibus being unable to pass the road with contur climbing until it finally walked backwards uncontrollably and fell into the pool of residents around the scene.
