Dismantling Corruption Procurement Of Aircraft At Garuda Indonesia, KPK Calls 2 Former Members Of The DPR

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned two former members of the House of Representatives Atte Sugandi and Azam Azman today, Thursday, November 24. They will be questioned regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of Airbus aircraft at PT Garuda Indonesia. "The investigation was carried out at the KPK Office," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, November 24. Ali did not specify what the investigators would study with the witnesses. Both are expected to fulfill the investigator's summons. Previously reported, the KPK named a former member of the DPR and a company as a suspect in the bribery case of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. This determination is the development of the 2010-2015 Airbus aircraft procurement case. It was not specified who the former member of the DPR or the company that became the suspect was. New names will be submitted by the anti-corruption commission in full along with attempts to force detention. Even so, the name Chandra Tirta Wijaya, who previously sat as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction, has been prevented from leaving the country. This prevention was carried out by the Directorate General of Immigration at the request of the KPK for six months.
