KSAL Admiral Yudo Mau Commander Of The Marine Corps Should Be Three Stars

JAKARTA - KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono asked the commander of the Marine Corps (Dankormar) to be held by three-star high-ranking officers.

"A year ago I told you, it is appropriate with the existing organization. With the number of existing soldiers, with the existing defense equipment, with the duties carried out by the Marine Corps," Yudo said after releasing the departure of 400 Marine Corps personnel to Cianjur at Headquarters Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Tuesday, November 22, quoted from Antara.

He said the plan of the Dankormar official by a three-star general was still in progress.

"It has been submitted from the TNI Headquarters to the Ministry of Defense. The Ministry of Defense has agreed. We are waiting for the presidential decree," added Yudo.

Previously, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (Wakasal) Laksdya Ahmadi Heri Purwono said the position of Dankormar would be filled by high-ranking three-star officers. This is because dankormar oversees three Marine Troops (Pasmar), namely Pasmar 1 in Jakarta, Pasmar 2 in Surabaya, and Pasmar 3 in Sorong.

"We also really want, very much, to be worthy, that the marine already has three Pasmars, led by a three-star Dankormar," said Heri, Tuesday, November 15.

He hopes that the plan to fill the position of Dankormar by the three-star general can be realized soon.

"Hopefully, we are waiting together to be realized soon," said Heri.

Currently, the Indonesian Navy's Marine Corps is commanded by Major General TNI (Mar) Widodo Dwi Purwanto.
