JAKARTA - Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe opened the opportunity for dialogue with US Defense Minister Lloyd James Austin. "China has a positive attitude and is open to dialogue with the US during the ADMM-Plus (Meeting of ASEAN-Plus Defense Ministers)," Chinese National Defense Ministry (MND) spokesman Colonel Senior Tan Kefei told the press, Antara, Monday, November 21. According to him, the relevant departments on both sides are establishing communication and coordination for the plan for the second meeting of the Minister of Defense. China's Defense Minister attended the ADMM-Plus in Cambodia and visited the country from last Sunday to Thursday, November 24 at the invitation of Phnom Penh. Wei Fenghe, who is also a member of the Chinese Government Council, will hold a meeting with Cambodian military leaders. In ADMM-Plus, he is scheduled to make speeches and meet with delegates from various countries to discuss the latest regional and global situation as well as defense and security cooperation. The issue of the South China Sea and Taiwan is expected to surface at the meeting.
